Can the digitizer cable in the display be repaired/replaced?

When opening the computer to replace the battery, I ended up damaging the digitizer cable on the LCD screen. Any way this can be fixed or replaced?

Screen works perfectly, lost the touch screen functionality though :(

I'm so sorry this happend! It looks as if the display cable is part of the display. Try pulling gently up on it, and if it doesn't work, I think you will need a new display. You might be able to find a cable somewere and solder it, but that would be very hard, if possable.

I appreciate your suggestions. Replacing it does seem like the best option, as attempting to solder without the right equipment can be very challenging. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a microscope. I'll look into getting a replacement display and hope that resolves the issue. Thanks again for your help!
