How do I change the charging port?

My little brother got a new Switch Lite and gave me his broken one, he was too rough with the port, is there anyway to go about changing the charging port

I did notice on the teardown that the charging port is literally soldered onto the motherboard (https://guide-images.cdn.ifixit.com/igi/...)

It is doable but there's always risk in soldering electronics

Yes, unfortunately the USB-C ports are many times more difficult to solder than the older USB ports since they went from something like 5 pins to 20 or more. From the picture it appears you would probably need a hot air station to swap out that particular port, assuming you can locate the correct replacement part.

Without some fairly specialized expertise this is a repair that, for most of us, would be better left to a repair shop.
