Can I start up my MacBook Pro with this cable being disconnected?

I was doing a repair to replace the dead battery of my previous 13-inch Macbook Pro (Early 2015). I put in the new battery and when it came to the connector I found that this cable was disconnected/broken.

I wanted to know if I could at least start it up one time safely. Thank you very much for your help!

All three pins on that side of the battery connector are ground wires. It's not ideal, but your Mac will probably run just fine. It's not inherently dangerous or anything. I would avoid it dangling loosely. Maybe put some tape over it for now. But I wouldn't consider it a huge deal. You can probably repair that, actually, without a ton of hassle, but it should be fine to power on for a test.

Hi Alisha, thank you very much for taking the time to answer! I have put electrical tape over it and have been able to successful start it up (unfortunately I am getting the prohibition sign- but that's another problem :')) To have it repaired how might I go about that?
