Can I turn off my lithium battery for 6 month storage?

How do I turn off the battery displaying
there is nothing in the manual about it. I would think that unplugging the power would turn it off - HOWEVER, when cooking, it does resume after power returns, so the battery would have to stay connected. Is the battery removable? If so, take it out. If it is a 2032, you can just put it back in up side down, that way you won't lose the battery.
