Why is this phone so slow and hot

Why is this phone overheating so bad a 100.5 and I can't download anything or watch my videos it's so slowi.its a government phone running on 4G

Well, it's probably your phone sucks because the government doesn't want to give away high-quality phones. Although, it could also just be a battery issue. Have you tried resetting the phone?
