The Lenovo Thinkpad X240, released in 2013, fairly light and compact, and looks familiar to the ThinkPad Line. The X240 is notable for its clunky touch pad.

What does the push button right next to the LCD connector do?

Just wondering: What does the push button right next to the LCD connector do?

Hi Bjorn,

It looks like the underside of the laptop in your photo. I think it may be the inside of the "Emergency-reset hole"

To quote the User Manual "If the computer stops responding and you cannot turn it off by pressing the power button, remove the ac power adapter and insert a straightened paper clip into the emergency-reset hole to reset the computer."

Here is the Lenovo Thinkpad X240
