@santagary do you have sound when you plug in a pair of headphones? It is possible that this is caused by a bad headphone jack. What have you checked?

@santagary first try this:

Check in System Preferences: Sound:

  1. Output that sound output is set to “Internal Speakers”. and balance is set to center.
  2. Use the F12 volume key to set the sound to maximum.
  3. Reset PRAM.

Unplug headphone/external speakers and verify if you now get audio through internal speakers. Cycle through this plug /unplug operation several times in rapid succession and verify if audio gets back each time to the Internal speakers.This might loosen a stuck headphone jack. Of course this will only be diagnostic if you have audio on your headphone/ external speakers.
