My screen turns black after it is turned on

The Lenovo logo comes on when I turn on my laptop but then it turns black or red and black like static. What is the issue?

UPDATE I just added pictures and a video

@leond1186 start troubleshooting by connecting an external monitor. If it does the same thing, it is your GPU that has failed. If it does not, you do want to check if this is an issue with the driver. You did not tell us what OS you are using, but try to start it in safe mode and see if that works. If so, uninstall the current display driver and try to download the proper update for your model. you didn't tell us your exact model, so we cannot give you any more detail.

Take a few pictures or a short video and shows us what your monitor displays. Adding images to an existing question

I just tried the external monitor and it did the same thing. I don't know how to put it in safe mode or uninstall and reinstall the driver from here. Can you walk me through? It's windows 11. Lenovo ideapad 3

@leond1186 this might be better than me explaining it. I'll get you lost :-) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...

Hey, I got it into safe mode but still nothing. I added a video of what is happening now. Do you think it can be a Hardware problem?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

@leond1186 absolutely. If an external monitor shows the same thing, you have a failed GPU (graphics processor) on your motherboard. Sounds like you may need to replace your motherboard. Of course, take a look at it first. Tear your computer down to the motherboard and lets see what it looks like.
