Why won't my screen turn on?

I was finishing up replacing the SSD on my iMac. I tested the screen before applying the adhesive and it worked. Upon taking the screen back off to apply the adhesive, I think either the display or display power cable got slightly tugged. I didn't think it was an issue since it was very slight. But unfortunately the screen is not turning on (no backlight lit). Do you think it is just one of those cables broken (which is more likely?) And if so is there a way to track down that part as it's just a cable? Thanks!

To help figure out which shine a flashlight into the display at a sharp angle a poor man’s backlight. If you see your desktops icons the backlight cable is damaged if not the video data cable.
