The Inspiron 15 laptop is a 5100 model, (1100 manual has most information) The CMOS battery is located on the bottom side of the laptop, visible just under the modem circuit. Not a standard CMOS battery. I will have a more competent shop to unsolder it, determine its type, order it and re-solder it to the MOBO. Thanks for your effort!
