Replace trackpad cable under logic board

How do I remove the trackpad cable on my 2009 15” MacBook Pro if one end of the cable is located beneath the logic board?

Hi Zach,

Thanks for reaching out. Here’s a pic: as you can see the cable from the track pad is torn and the end that is connected to the logic board is located under the logic board so I can’t get at it to unplug it I already purchased a new trackpad cable.

Can you provide a picture of the issue? In step 10 of this guide you can see how the trackpad cable connects to the main logic board, and you should be able to disconnect it in the way shown. The other end of the cable connects to the trackpad itself.
