nail polish remover in screen

i had spilled some nail polish remover that i believe it had acetone through the speaker and it entered the screen. the speaker went out for a couple of minutes but eventually started working again. will the acetone dry out of the screen? i have it tipped so the corner is on a towel and facing open towards a fan. also, if the speaker came back do i need to worry about it or anything else? all of the keys are working, just appears there is liquid under the screen

Nail polish remover is more than acetone! It has fillers. Think how a puddle of milk on the counter sits for awhile the water evaporates, but the non-water parts stay.

So while the acetone and water will evaporate. There is more happening here besides the solids left behind. The plastic parts within the display are likely damaged. Here we are talking about the defuser sheets and rear polarizer sheet which is glued to the back of the LCD panel. Take the time to review this MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown while it’s an older system the display tech is the same!

This display is even harder to open up! I wouldn’t attempt it as your more likely cause more damage things.

So what to do to speed things up. I would use a hair dryer warming it up a bit. The trick is not to over heat things and you want to heat the metal not the glass and keep it warm for a few hours as you don’t want it to re-condense inside.
