Water damaged iPad Pro M1 works but the display is black

Hello,

As per the title I have an iPad Pro that has suffered water damage. While the device still works, sounds can be heard etc, the display shows black but the backlight works. I have tried reconnecting the cables but to no avail. Is that more likely to be a board or LCD panel issue? Tips and suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Hey :) I have exactly the same problem on my iPad Pro 10.5". What did you do? Did it turn out to be the panel or was it a board issue? Best, Michael :)

Water damage is tricky. It's hard to tell if you will have residual issues from a "repaired" water damaged device. However, in your case, just focusing on the issue at hand, I would bet replacing the display would fix the issue. Now, there is a chance that someone else is shorted causing no display but, in my experience I have "fixed" device by replacing displays after water damage.
