Swap tcon Hisense 55p7 65r7

Hi, can I use a tcon from 65”tv in 55”? The model is different obviously but am curious as to what could go wrong. My tv was flickering and so far I changed a power board and main board from a newer model (which works fine by the way) but it still flickers after an hour of watching. So the only part left is Tcon :)

Thanks for answers

Greetings,

I have a Hisense 55-inch TV (model 55R7). The TV works perfectly at first and shows a great picture, but after about one to one and a half hours of being on, the picture starts flickering and rolling from the bottom to the top of the screen. I suspect the T-con board (50T32-C0D CTRL BD) may be faulty.

I am looking for a T-con board for a Hisense 55-inch TV (model 55R7). Specifically, I’m interested in Hisense T‑CON Board 50T32‑C0D CTRL BD (or equivalent part for my model).

Could you please check if you have this board in stock, and if yes:

• confirm the exact board part-number and compatibility with model 55R7

• send a clear photo of the board you have (so I can compare connectors and layout)

• let me know the price, shipping cost to Melbourne, Australia, and approximate delivery time

• what your return policy is (in case it doesn’t fix the issue)

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Barry Missaghi

@anitak71969 if all the connections match, yes you can use it. However, at times the boards have an EEPROM IC that is programmed for the different TV. You may have some disturbance or picture issue. If the electrical connection is identical, you can at least give it a try. looks like your 55" model is a 50T32-C0D TX-5555T32C34 board and your 65" is a 55T36-C04 TT-5565T50C34 Let's see if we find out more information about compatibility.

Anyhow, the flickering can also be caused by the panel and bad ribbon cables. You do want to check those as well.

Thanks @oldturkey03, you are the best. Connections are the same for both Tcons. I will definitely check the ribbons as well. I salvaged everything from 65r7 so it should work. And if it's the panel I don't think I can do anything about it. Replacing seems to be too expensive.

@anitak71969 when you check the T-Con board, take a simple look at the lines going to the connectors. the thicker ones are usually power lines and the smaller ones, datalines. Make sure that those look about the same for both boards. You can always try a tape-off if it is the panel. Not 100% but it gives you something like a 75-80% chance of fixing it. At least temporarily. Best of luck with your repairs. Remember this ;-)
