HP laptop sreen issues.

Screen in my laptop is randomly turning "half-transparent" white, what is more intresting nothing frozes at the beggining, after some time white thing spreads on full screen and start frozing image, it also turn color inverted then, it happens mostly when I close or open my laptop, sometimes it disappears when I start moving it, but not always. I tried to wait some time without moving it but that never works.

@vecti73 It sounds like the display cable is getting pinched. You may have to replace it. You just need to replace the cable between the motherboard and display, not the display itself..

@vecti73 attach an external monitor to your computer first. What you are describing sounds like a bad LCD at best and worst, a bad GPU based 'nothing frozes at the beggining, after some time white thing spreads on full screen and start frozing image' on this. A bad cable would not care if you just started the computer or not. It would always have the same symptoms. This sounds way different.

Let us know what an external monitor shows you.

@vecti73 time to open up the laptop and to check things out. Remove the display cable and evaluate the connectors. Check for tears and corrosion. Next take a look the driver board check for any damaged or « odd » looking component. You can change the cable and see if it does make a difference and after that, change the LCD. There are no schematics for the LCD driver board, so to fix it would be by replacing it.
