I recently did an Amazon search for a PlayStation Dualsense EDGE battery replacement out of the blue and it was a divine experience.
No more pondering about whether I should order one from Alibaba that takes over 60 days to arrive.
On Amazon, an extended life replacement battery, that I have now used, fits fine in the controller, and also, it popped up at the top of the page or near the top of the page to order.
It’s good so far. It came with two. Even had more battery life in it. at first looking at it, I thought it might be clunky to put in the controller, but it fit fine. I was wondering if you were supposed to pull off the electrical wrapping that wraps around this battery but don’t do that if you are like me, and are silly. Good thing it comes with two.
I ruined my original battery because I was installing a replacement outer shell, but I had trouble getting the connector of the battery out of the controller so I pulled it too hard and the battery connector ripped off apart from the batter. Be careful taking the battery out of the controller for whenever you need to do that. Or maybe I’m the only one who has ever done that and I am a silly person.

Is this the same battery as in the regular controller?

No.
Which version DualSense controller do you have V1 or V2 as the batteries in them are not the same either.
