Not sure if this problem is due to an electrical storm or if it just died but the amplifier will not turn on. I removed the cover and checked the fuses they seem to be fine. Anyone have ideas on how to troubleshoot and fix? I called a local electronics repair shop, they said I could get a new or used working model for the cost of the repair. Is this true?

Looking online used receivers are in the range of $US150-$US300 so the lower end price may also apply for a repair. It depends on what the problem is i.e. how long it takes to find, if specific parts are required and are available etc
