Chinese bench PSU MCP-SP-303E

It has 2 defective potentiometers 3 pin rotary linear 20mm shaft. However the values are 6 kohms and 7 kohms which do not seem to be standard values. I realise I can use a 10Kohm standard pot with resistor in parallel to get 6 and 7k but then they won't be truly linear. Does anyone know of a supplier for 6k and 7k pots?

The pots are marked 6k and 7k and do measure this across the tracks but are erratic and go open circuit on wiper terminal when wipers moved, even after deoxit cleaning.

Are you sure they are not actually 10k ohm potentiometers? If they're defective they may have started life as 10k.

Ifyou do use 10k ohm pots and it's not linear it should still show youthereal voltage.

Or yes i like your plan to put resistors in parallel.

The pots are marked as 6k and 7k and do measure as such across their tracks. But the wiper terminals keep going open circuit as pot spindle moved, even after deoxit cleaning.
