My battery contacts got corroded can I replace the springs and positive plates for better connections?

Yes you can, sometimes a bit of sandpaper to remove the rust works too if you're unable to replace the whole spring. Alternatively, metal spacers like thin washers or a small coin placed beside the spring before installing the battery can help compress the spring to bypass the rusty portion.
