This Nintendo DS Lite was released in 2006 as the successor to the Nintendo DS. Getting inside this device is simple, making for easy fixes.

Is this top screen fixable?

Any idea what happened to this top screen and whether it can be fixed? There's a large blotch in the middle and detaching the front lens a bit didn't seem to help. It is fixable or do I need to order a new top screen? Sorry if the image doesn't quite get it across.

For this repair you would have to buy a new top screen, they aren’t too expensive. If you have no repair experience you may want to take the DS to a repair shop or mail it to be repaired. Top screen repairs are difficult and may take hours if not days for novices and you may find that you damaged the ribbon cable for the top screen during reassembly.

Whatever you choose to do, good luck
