Can you clean your usb-c port with the metal probe and pick set?

So I ordered a probe and pick set but I was wondering if its safe to remove dust and fabric remains from the phone's port with it.
Thanks a lot for your answers!

"Never put anything into your ears except your elbow." Never put anything metal into a tiny usb-c port. Tiny metal picks, whether pin-like or flat, can short circuit fine brass wires that are the electrical/electronic connections between phone and charger or pc. It's wiser to use canned air and plastic tools to attempt removing debris. Plastic doesn't conduct electricity and safe for probing/cleaning electrical connections like usb ports. If you insist on using metal probes, power down the phone then remove the phone battery; this will eliminate any short circuiting while cleaning. Be aware that usb-c ports have the smallest brass wires (used lengthwise) to make electrical connections and easily damaged when probing. https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Tech...
