My screen has lines halfway on it after battery replacement
after battery replacement there are lines on 1/2 the screen.

@tom1of5 could be one of two things. Cracked screen or bad screen connector. Post some pictures of what your screen looks like. That way we can most likely give you a definite answer.
I've noticed you actually had to change your device :-) Since it is not a iPod 5th Generation (Video) but a iPod touch. Your picture shows a cracked screen. You will need to replace it.

Looking at your picture it looks like you've damaged the screen when you opened it. Possibly bending the screen. Either way a new screen will fix the issue.
