Nintendo Switch only charges through a computer, not through mains

Trying to repair a friend's old Nintendo Switch. Everything at this point works fine except for charging. If i plug it into the mains or through a docking station, it doesn't charge, but if i plug it into my laptop directly through usb-c, it charges fine. We can only charge it trough the laptop at this point.

No issues with the plug or docking station (my Switch charges fine). Tried replacing the battery (because that's what we thought it was at first), but this hasn't sorted anything either.

I've seen other suggesting regarding replacing the USB-C port, M92T36 or BQ24193. Does anyone have any suggestions before i go down this route (or which of the three components are likely to be the cause of it)?
