Strange screen incompatibility issue

Hi, I’ve run into a weird problem with a screen replacement for an iPhone 8 Plus, the factory value is C3f for the screen, I bought a C3f screen refurbished replacement, but when installed it has no touch, the screen works on other 8 plus phones, I check the serial on the old screen, and it starts with C190.. I have no idea what that is, I can’t find any info on it, but it’s the only one that works with touch, even though it doesn’t match the factory value in 3utools and JCID

where did you buy the screen from? Was it like an OEM refurbished screen?

Yes, the new screen works on other iPhones without issue, but this one 8 plus, refuses to work with any screen but the one that broke, and that screen isn’t the original, the phone is gold and the screen was black..

After speaking to a screen supplier and repairer, apparently some iPhone 8 Plus’s get used to aftermarket screens and will only accept an aftermarket screen as compatible after only using aftermarket screens for a long time.. So I will try fitting a standard aftermarket screen and see if it works.. that’s a strange issue, so now I wonder if anyone knows how to gain compatibility back to the factory value, True Tone repair through JCID did not fix it.

Confirmed, tried several aftermarket screens all touch working, tried a couple more broken refurbs and originals, touch not working. For some reason this 8 plus only works with aftermarket screen replacements.
