My ice maker is working fine, however dispenser door won't open to drop into cup. Thus causing the ice to grind and clog the shute. What should I look for? How do I fix this?

LG icemakers rotate the ice out when frozen and I don't see a door.
Is the door driven or is i gravity operated? If gravity, cna u manually move it? If not, it may be frozen.
If driven, u need to determine why it isn't driving. Door stuck/frozen: no drive to the motor, etc.

I had same problem. It was the solenoid. Could be your issue as well.

Had the same problem with my LG model LFX31925ST and it was the chute door motor (Replacement part # LG EAU59551204), which I believe others may describe as a solenoid. I purchased a new motor from Amazon for only $21. For reference, please note the original motor part number ended in a "7" instead of the current replacement number ending in a "4".
