A11 Bad Battery Replacement
Where can I find a reliable battery replacement for the A11? I have checked online and a lot of the replacement batteries look pretty sketchy and I don't think I would trust them.

Hi @willman604
You may get more results to choose from when searching for the Samsung A11 battery part number.
Search online for GH81-18735A and check.
Here's a battery replacement video that may also help.

Hi @mduros
Never use heat around a battery. You don't want the battery to get hot and create any problems.
To loosen the adhesive, apply a line of Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available from electronics parts stores) along the edge of the battery, allow a bit of time for it to soften the adhesive and then gently pry the battery up a little. Apply some more alcohol under the battery and pry it up a bit more. Keep doing this to eventually remove the battery. Once removed ensure that any residual adhesive is removed before installing a replacement.
Remember to disconnect the battery from the motherboard before trying to remove it and try not to puncture or damage it at all during removal.
ifixit has a good range of prying and opening tools if you haven't got any suitable ones.

Hi @jayeff thanks for the confirmation. That's what I thought but the youtube video showed using a heat gun to remove the battery. I have a phone with a swollen battery and was thinking about repairing it for the experience.
Hi @mduros
Yeah. A lot of YouTube videos also show that the battery hasn't been disconnected as soon as possible after accessing the inside of devices e.g. laptops, phones etc too, before carrying on working inside them, which is bad practice as far as electronics repair is concerned.
Too big a chance of causing electrical damage to the board if this is not done first.
Cheers

The video is very helpful. Would using a heat gun to loosen the glue around a swollen battery be safe?
