logic board drawing amps with nothing plugged in

Working on a pretty damaged iphone 11. Removed the logic board and connected to an external power supply. With nothing connected, it's pulling .007 amps. When I tried to power it up, it continually power cycles. Woulda thermal camera be the only way to see where the short is? or could I find it with a fluke meter?

thanks everyone for the responses and help. Unfortunately, the side button socket is pretty damaged also, and I can't get it to recognize a connection. I'm going to have to get a friend with a little more experience to check the nand and separate the board. my micro-soldering skills aren't quite up to par yet. But thank you all again for the help.

7 milliamps before prompt to boot is a normal reading if you are using a squid.

is that with with the logic board completely removed from the device? I tested the logic board from my donor phone and from a different model and didn't read any amps. it's constant .007to .008 on the board i'm trying to repair

@nate9679 Yes with the board out this reading is acceptable. If one of the main power rails was shorted it would be pulling 1000 times more. I would be checking NAND and CPU lines if it is cycling. You might have to split the board. Does ITunes recognise it in DFU mode?

I second the NAND thought. At least as a start. Especially since you can check that without splitting the board.

@nate9679 need to separate the board and check for damaged pads

I test now fully working icloud board, when is turn off take only 1mA,after Press powerbutton while booting take 0,2-1,6A peak. Try to check nand 1v1 and 3v3, looks like some cap is shorted.
