Hello, I am a fellow FX506L(H) user.
I had replaced the cooling fan. It's quite hard to get.
The good news is that ASUS sells them separately.
Just go to the official accessoires-asus.com, and buy the parts from there.
The replacement of the fan takes only 3 screws (if you don't count the back cover).

I had this I just brought it to Best Buy geek squad after cleaning the fans they took 2 months and fixed it.
It is somewhat hard to find a replacement fan.
