Screen Will Not Turn On, all notifications and vibrations work.

Hello,

Dropped this phone, screen landed down.

The screen does not turn on, but I can feel all vibrations and hear notifications. Siri works.

Trying to diagnose and fix this phone. Plugging it into my mac, I need to unlock the phone. How should I do this?

What are some ideas of a solution to the screen powering on?

In order to get it to sync to your Mac, you will need working image so you can see what you’re typing. I have seen tons of attempts at workarounds for this, but not work. Honestly, if you can’t see I would turn the device off and leave it for the moment. I have see lots of these iPhones with broken screens end up “Disabled” or “Unavailable” because touch often still works, even if you’re not getting an image.

There is an extensive page for troubleshooting Black Screen issues on an iPhone 8, but ultimately this sounds like you’re in for a new display.
