Samsung announced the Galaxy Book3 lineup at their "Unpacked" event on February 1, 2023. The new Galaxy S23 lineup was also announced.

Does the 16" version come with an additional/extra second SSD slot?

I have the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 16" version that comes included with a 1TB primary SSD.

It has been frustrating not being able to find any information whatsoever online if this model comes with an additional /extra second SSD slot and I am hesitant to open it myself so hoping to find answers from the wonderful iFixit community.

Thank you very much for this teardown and asnwer. A couple of questions:

1) How difficult is it to open it up? I have heard the back cover is very hard to get off. Any tips?

2) After opening it up, do you think it could fit a SSD with a Heatsink or is it too thin for that?

2) Did you open it to upgrade the SSD? If so, which SSD did you use or recommend? I am thinking Samsung's 990 PRO 2TB but I fear there might be heat management issues

Again, appreciate you taking the time to do this and answering!

Hi, I answer your question:

1) How difficult is it to open it up? I have heard the back cover is very hard to get off. Any tips?

It's not easy. You need a suction cup and a very fine plastic card. you must do it

you must do it at the bottom.

2) After opening it up, do you think it could fit a SSD with a Heatsink or is it too thin for that?

Sorry, not enough space for a heatsink.

3) Did you open it to upgrade the SSD? If so, which SSD did you use or recommend? I am thinking Samsung's 990 PRO 2TB but I fear there might be heat management issues.

I opened the computer to improve the ssd. Samsung 980 pro 2Tb. the 990 is better, but it is more expensive too but not much better. the 980 is very fast and I have not seen the temperature exceed 49ºC

Sadly, the model referenced in the video you linked is the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and NOT the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360
