@m4omk67bjxbju2 for now I suggest that you check this Wiki iPod 3rd Generation Troubleshooting . Look under the corrupted software and perform a reset. See if that helps, if not then you may need to perform a hard reset.

@m4omk67bjxbju2 has this happened to you before? Has the iPod worked for you before? How are you connecting it? What are you trying to do? What have you checked? does your computer recognize your iPod? what have you checked? Is it a Mac or Windows formatted iPod?
