Aftermarket screen with original touch ID, dont recognise fingerprint

1- Original screen got crack

2-I changed it with aftermarket amazon screen.

3-I swapped the home buttons so i have the original button with touch ID working. Didnt work.

4- to confirm I reswaped everything to the original place. Original screen(cracked) with original button. The fingerprint works.

Conclusion: Obvioiusly, the home button works, thing is, is the screen fault? Or is there something i have to do in the software to fix this?

Hi

You’re on the right track!

It’s the screen that has the issue…I find that parts from Amazon tend to be really bad quality and rarely work properly so I stay away from them

The issue in your case is to do with a cable that runs under the shield

Here’s a video that talks about it a bit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IEWAQiu...

All you need to do is put the old back shield and cable onto the new screen

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)
