Why does my mower die after it’s been running for a few minutes?

I have a John Deere riding mower (E110 series) that will not stay running. We have changed the oil, spark plug, and air filter. We also drained the gas and put new gas in it. It starts up fine, but after running for a few minutes it starts to bog down and dies. Please help, my grass is getting longer by the minute!

It was the fuel lines! Blew air through them with a compressor and it’s running fine!

Check the vent on the gas cap.

I’ll try that! Thank you

I tried and it’s still trying to die.

Try just loosening the cap.
