Where to find a replacement screen?

Basically a toddler threw a toy at it and I have tried looking my self for websites that would have parts for this but I fear that even if there is one they will not sell to me. can anybody lend any help?

Hi Brian,

The problem with most LCD and LED flat-screen televisions today is that most of the cost is tied up in the manufacturing of the display itself. So it rarely is cost-effective for manufacturers to supply replacement screens and we've seen on large-screen televisions that even on those rare occasions when you can buy a replacement panel, the cost frequently exceeds the price of buying a brand new unit.

I realize there's a big difference between a 60" wall-mounted television and your 34" curved gaming monitor, but I suspect you're going to find something similar; that it will most likely be difficult or impossible to find a replacement, and even if you do, it will probably be priced prohibitively. I'd love to be proven wrong, but you should probably set your expectations to the idea that you'll have to just replace the whole thing. The good news is you may be able to recoup some of the cost by parting out your existing one since you've got good circuit boards, interconnects and case components.

Need more info. You need to figure out the exact model number of the screen itself; would have to open the laptop up to do that. Also, why do you fear they won't sell to you? Are you in some country where access to shipping is difficult?

Other than that... best place to get laptop parts is generally ebay. For a laptop, I would just take the top half (the part with the screen) and swap it out with your broken one; screen, wifi radio antenna, bezel, hinge... the whole package. It's usually worth it to avoid popping out just the screen itself; than can be a highly finicky repair

MY bad for the bad info, it is a gaming monitor that is ultra wide and curved. and I think they wouldn't sell it to me because I am not a business owner or a authorized repairer. I will open it up and see if I can find some kind of model number for the screen tagged inside somewhere.

@brianchave33513 My bad, I misread the device; yeah it is obvious it is a monitor.

Oh dearey me, fixing curved monitors is... difficult.

Personally, if it was me (and I have quite a bit of comp repair experience), I would take the screen to a shop and get a quote. It may not be worth the cost of repair. Reason being, most people dont have the tools/experience for this sort of specialized repair.

Other than that, original recommendation of ebay still stands

Is it only Americans who waste so much, I mean I've gone to a few youtube videos and its always some 3rd world immigrant "asian" fixing and or replacing these lcd screens with no issues. The issue is where to get the LCD screen, because its not hard... have we all been so used to throwing things away .. good grief.
