2011 MacBook Pro 17” works, but no internal display

I have a 2011 macbook pro 17” that boots, works, charges. External display works fine too, but no internal display. No water damage. Reseated lvds cable. Did pram, smc reset multiple times. Nothing worked. How do I debug? Thanks

Let’s give this a try, take a flashlight aim it into the Apple logo in the lid, do you see a faint view of your desktop and its icon?

If you do you need to focus on the displays backlight logic, if you don’t the displays T-CON logic is likely damaged and/or the LVDS cable is damaged.

Thanks Dan. I was not very clear. It’s not a backlight issue. I tried shining a light to the LCD, and there were no images. Also I tried using a different LCD, and same results, nothing on the LCD. External display still worked all ok.

@my980313e - then the logic board LVDS connector is bad.
