Assuming the heads are clogged, you can try cleaning them with a cotton swab/Q tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol. To be honest, if the heads are clogged, it is very rare that you will get them to come back. Usually replacing the heads is all that will work (that is, if they are even available) and unfortunately not cost effective, since the head assembly will cost as much as a new printer will.
Sadly, the manufacturers were not selling you a printer when they made the ink jet, they were selling you ink.
If the heads are on the ink cartridges, then clean first. if that doesnt work, you will need new ink cartridges.
