im having a hard time charging it

When you say doesn't wanna charge properly. Does it show signs of charging at all? If it does then it sounds like a charge port issue. Either dirt is clogging up the port not allowing the charge connector to go in all the way or the charge port itself has damage or solder joint issues. You can try cleaning the port, I use tweezers but have done for years. Try another charge lead and charger and if that fails you probably need a new port fitted. Depending on the model it could be as easy as a board swap, if not, find a shop to replace it.
