My headset turns on blinks twice then powers off abruptly.

My arctis series 9x will power up for 2 seconds, then abruptly turn off. I've already tried the restart button and it still does it. I'm at a loss here and I don't have 200$ to spend for another.

You can try returning it.

@declankeegan the very first thing you want to do is to replace the battery. Use something like [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AsoYBUU... |this video for that. While you replace the battery check your circuit board for any corrosion damage, missing parts etc. Once you replace the battery, re-evaluate and let us know what you get.

Take lots of pictures. Since iFixit does not have a guide for this, use those pictures and create a guide Adding images to an existing question The community will appreciate it!

I had the same issue as this. it would blink red twice then nothing. I opened it up and found that one of the power related transistors A19T had broken its solder joint on the Drain side. Re soldered it and the headset powered on.

i tested it first with a pair of metal tweezers jumping the points D and S on the transistor.

Update (10/15/25)

i now have another issue of side tone being stuck on which i think i caused.

@aryankainth do you think it is possible that this is caused by the "missing" (missing because it has been bridged) transistor? Why not replace the AO3401 MOSFET instead of using jumpers and then re-evaluate everything?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I didn't use a jumper, I dont have any spare parts on hand. I tested the mosfet that was there and it passed the tests so I just resoldered the broken joints.
