Every now and then I would get this error code and it would go away and now it's constantly doing it.
Caps Lock Error:
3 Long
2 Short
I took the screen off to see any loose cables and there were none, also took the bottom cover to check and same result. I thought about changing the CMOS batter this board has but idk how to take that out. Any recommendations would be great.

If I remember correctly, 3 long, 2 short is most likely a RAM issue for most HP models. In fact, blink codes in general are most often cleared on laptops by a simple reseat of your RAM.
That seems to coincide with your “every now and then” sort of experience. Maybe one of the sticks is just loose.
If you confirm the exact model number of the machine, we can probably confirm this and get some service documentation. But I would pop off the bottom off the laptop, unplug the battery (the regular one, not the CMOS one), then pull your RAM stick(s) out, then put them back in and see if you’re in business.

@xfuskyx Just making sure, with Windows machines, there are so many I always want to be certain. The Service Manual will give you the rundown on how to get the unit open, how to disconnect the battery, the RAM, even the CMOS battery if you wanted to give that a try.
