Where to Find a Replecement Power Button

P6P power button has recently fallen out twice. Luckily, I found the loose button in my pocket, but I may not always be so lucky. Looking for a place to buy replacement power buttons.

Hi Ronnie,

I have to admit I didn't have any luck finding anyone in my usual sources who sells just the physical buttons themselves. The closest I came was a Reddit post where a guy ended up taking a chance and buying the buttons for a Pixel 7 to replace a missing one on his 6 Pro and reported that the button fit perfectly. Unfortunately he was talking about a volume button rather than the power button, so it's not really an answer, more of a lead. Here's the thread.

And here's a link to the eBay listing that appears to still be good.

That's the closest I can come; let us know what you end up doing, as I'm invested in the subject since I have a 6 Pro myself.

Thank you for the link, Jerry. I'm going to spring for the $10 US and take a chance that the power button may also be compatible with the P6 Pro.

It ships from China, so it will be a few weeks until it arrives here in Los Angeles. I'll definitely keep you posted after I try it, regardless of the result.

I see several posts about these buttons falling off, on both the P6 and P7 series. So, I don't understand why these simple replaceable parts are not readily available. I guess that the "Right to Repair" law here in the US has no clout, since Google seems unwilling to make the parts available, even for purchase.

I received the set of Pixel 7 Pro power and volume buttons from that eBay seller today. As best as I can tell, both the power button and the volume buttons appear to be the same length as those on my Pixel 6 Pro. They seem to be slightly narrower, but I don't think that will be a problem. It appears that there was a mistake in packaging because the volume button is gold, which is correct for my Sorta Sunny color, but the power button is silver. Again, not a big problem.

However, since my power button has only fallen off twice, and it seems to be holding up for quite a while now, I decided not to install it until/unless it falls off again by itself. I'm afraid of wear on the inner plastic tabs by forcibly removing the button. So, although I can't confirm for certain that these replacements will fit properly, it looks promising.
