Laptop not turning on, blank after pressing the power button

Please clarify your question.

After pressing the power button does the fan start, does the HDD activity light flash indicating it is booting into the operating system but there is no display or nothing happens at all?

If it does boot into Windows have you tried connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port to check if there is a display on it at all? (press Fn+F4 to toggle between the laptop display only, the external display only or both displays on together)
