Son broke his halo/ring, ribbon assembly that surrounds and connects everything inside ring is torn in half. My question is how can I find a list of internal parts to replace items like this? I cannot even find a diagram or schematics. That's all I really need then I can figure it out. Thanks in advance

You would need another quest 2 controller or if you can find it, parts. Schematics for a controller are hard to find, like with my quest 1 I broke both the controllers plastic ring because there is no documentation. my suggestion - if its already broken, try to fix it, but be careful not to break anything else. If you have no expeirence and there is someone around you who is learning or practicing, let them look at it. You could also ask on reddit or ask for someone to do it for you if you pay.

Thank you very much for your response. I have a lot of experience with fixing electronics, I was a micro/mini solder tech in the Navy (it was my favorite job lol) I've taken it apart and checked out the damage, I found replacement ribbons but I just wasn't sure. I'm definitely not going to go in with possible parts so thank you. I kind of figured they wouldn't be easy to come by. Lol
Where did you find the replacement ribbon for the halo/ring? I can't find it anywhere.

My son fell and smacked the left controller on a living room table. The Controller would connect and disconnect. The Meta Horizon app would detect the controller, but the laser wouldn't turn on. I took it apart and noticed the Left Ring connector for the Loop/Ring ribbon was burnt. The device appears and disappears as if there was a bad contact. It's not easy to test the ring ribbon because it has many sensors, and I am sure they have some resistance, but the Meter might use the 9 volts battery voltage for continuity test and might damage sensors on the ring ribbon. I found that after replacing the mother board and ring ribbon it might be cheaper to get a new controller from Meta for $75.00. If you use the good controller to test the bad one, then you also have the risk of static damaging the good one.
