Rinse aid running out fast

My Miele dishwasher G 1243SC used to go through the rinse aid in the dispenser in a month or more. Recently it started running out in a cycle or two. Thought it was the seal of the rinse aid dispenser. Replaced with original part # 06082320. This alleviated the issue for a year. Now again I have to add rinse aid before every cycle. Of course, there are always tablets, but they are much more expensive.

What could be the root cause?

Thank you for the tip. I changed the rinse aid dosage from 4 to 1. The expectation was that it will take a week or two to see if this helped.

Unfortunately, after just one cycle the whole 100ml rinse aid was gone.

Obviously there is a leak. It is a 15 years old machine.

I think I will stick with the tablets.

Something in the dispenser has probably failed. I improved the lid seal by filling the groove with an o-ring. That helped partially. Reducing the dose as per manual helped partially. Still trying to figure the seal mechanism of the doser without having to pull the dispenser out.
