Replaced joystick is stuck going left

I recently replaced a joystick on my controller and when I go to use it it's constantly giving a left input, it was the left joystick. I have checked the solder joints and nothing seems to be bridging or shorting the connection

Do you mean in neutral it goes left or even when you move right it goes left?

When I turn on the controller it is constantly giving me a full left input and will not go right I've tested it and it will do up and down but it's constantly going left

Sounds like the joystick is broken tbh... I was at first thinking it may be a dead zone issue, but a constant left input sounds like a connection is constantly connected when it's not supposed to be

The joystick I have tested it with a multimeter and it's fine I'm thinking it's the motherboard and there's a short that I can't see
