Would the anti-clamp work on this?

Hi. I need to change the battery on my old 5th gen ipod. I have read that opening this model is rather frustrating. So, before I start, I was wondering if Clampy might make that process a bit easier.

Thanks in advance for your response!

@psychee nope. this model uses metal clips to hold the front cover. It is not a press fit. The clamp will not work. The 5th gen iPod Video is really not that bad. Just take your time and use a good plastic opener. Follow the instructions iPod 5th Generation (Video) Battery Replacement and it will be okay. The only warning I have it the battery connector. Do not use an opening tool to lift it. Get a paperclip and bend it in an L-shape. Use that to lift the clasp on the connector.
