Good afternoon,
That's unfortunate. i'd like you to answer these questions if you can:
- What environment is this PS3 slim stored in?
- Did you try a power cycle? (Power off using the power button, unplug, hold power button for 10 sec, plug back in, power up)
- Are the vents clogged with dust?
- Can you hear anything from the PS3 when up close? (Hard drive noise, fan noise, a coil whine??)
From my limited research online, I'd say this PS3 might have had some kind of infestation (???? somebody correct me) while you left it and it's died. Alternatively, power surges also kill PS'. I have a PS4 and when i had a power surge a couple of years ago whilst updating fortnite, my 2tb ssd in it went kaput.
Hope this helps.
