What connector is needed in a ssd upgrade

I plan on upgrading to a 2tb ssd what sata connector do I need to ensure that my efforts will be successful? Thank you

This Mac Mini natively supports 2.5” SATA drives. So no connectors or adapters are necessary.The SATA connector itself is quite standard so just about any 2.5” SATA drive should fit. There are upgrade kits available that will ensure the correct drive, plus necessary tools, although it does not appear they have a 2TB kit if that’s what you are after.

If you want to extend your internal storage you could move the HDD to this Installing Mac mini Mid 2010 Dual Drive and then use the HDD port for the SSD. That way you get the best setup.
