The vast majority of laptops have the CPU soldered to the system board to save space because laptops have to be so much thinner than a desktop. Generally the only way to upgrade a laptop CPU is to put in a new system board. Can you confirm the exact model of your HP? The one listed does not have the ability to upgrade to any other processor according the HPs parts listing.
