Dropped steam deck with USB C connector still inside.
Now its not charging and not recognising the USB adapter for mouse and keyboard. I am pretty sure I broke it. Can it be fixed?

Hi
If you have tried a new cable and it’s still not working it’s going to need a usb c port replacement which isn’t the easiest thing in the world for newer repairers or people without microsoldering experience due to it being soldered to the board
Apart from that a whole main board replacement would be needed to fix the issue
Hopefully this helps
Any questions please ask
Thanks:-)

You mean if USB C port cannot be soldered THEN the solution is to replace the motherboard. Right?
And thanks for replying :)
Also, would you know what kind of USB C port is on the motherboard? Apparently there are multiple types of USB C ports.
Sorry I made that one a sound a little confusing:-)
What I mean is that it can be re-soldered but it’s not a easy task for someone who doesn’t have experience as it’s very small
The alternative to that is replacing the main board which is expensive;-{
@annndy there are many types of port
It would or easiest to take the port off then compare it too ones that are in sale online:-)
