MacBook thinks it's dead after sleep despite full charge

After installing a replacement battery from iFixit earlier this year, my Macbook has not been waking up from sleep unless plugged in (i.e. after I have the lid closed for some time). I press the power button and the dead battery/charge icon appears.

It will only turn on when I plug in the power adapter, even then the battery will show a sufficient charge once it's on. This morning it happened after it wasn't plug it in over night, the battery was at 90% when it turned back on after plugging it in.

I already tried doing the calibration charge/decharge cycle, and also resetting the SMC and PRAM/NVRAM multiple times, nothing seems to fix it.

Apologies if this has already been posted about/resolved. I've already tired a google search, but no one seems to have the problem with the circumstances I have.

Thanks for your help!

You may have a bad battery, install this gem of an App CoconutBattery so you can see more clearly the batteries status. Post a snapshot of the Apps main window here so we can see it too.

Apologies for the late reply! Thanks for the suggestion. Just added in the screenshot to my original post. Seems like all is good? I just installed the battery about a year or so ago.

@garet - let’s get another snapshot while the system is under charge as the battery is quite low and we want to see the temp while under charge but not after it’s fully charged.

@danj thanks for the clarification. New photos added show the macbook as it is charging around 70%. I'll provide any more information as needed.

@garet - When did you replace the battery?

I replaced it almost exactly a year ago last January, 2022
